Tommy Isoaho strengthens Jaakkoo-Taara’s export sales in the Nordics

The Jaakkoo-Taara team has gained a strong addition as Tommy Isoaho has started in his new role as Sales Manager for Nordics. Isoaho brings with him more than ten years of experience in the packaging industry, having worked in diverse sales roles with Nordic manufacturers as well as at Europe’s largest industrial packaging wholesaler.

A new role to expand Finnish expertise in the Nordics

Tommy Isoaho has broad knowledge of the packaging industry. He has experience in both technical and direct sales, and during his career he has collaborated with numerous Finnish professionals, for example in the areas of sustainability and packaging optimization. The Nordic markets are already familiar to him, as he has previously worked closely with companies in Sweden and Denmark.

What attracted Isoaho to his new role at Jaakkoo-Taara was the opportunity to bring Finnish expertise more widely to the Nordic countries. “What I look forward to the most is getting to know new customers and future colleagues. My main goal for the first year is simply to learn the ways of the company,” he says.

Quality and genuine willingness to help as the foundation of sales

Isoaho sees strong demand and potential for Finnish know-how in the Nordic region. In pharmaceutical packaging markets, high quality, safety, and strict regulatory requirements are particularly emphasized, offering opportunities for players who have expertise in combining these.

According to Isoaho, the cornerstones of success in international sales are patience, perseverance, and systematic work. In building customer relationships, he highlights above all the importance of listening and having a genuine desire to help customers move forward. “You cannot overemphasize communication, but the most important thing is learning to hear the thoughts behind the words,” he summarizes.

Motivation from work and energy from free time

As a colleague, Isoaho describes himself as approachable and eager to learn. He is motivated by developing customer relationships, the variety of projects, and the opportunity to continuously learn new things.

In his free time, he enjoys sports. Isoaho plays team sports and does CrossFit, which he says helps him develop in several areas at once. This autumn, he also plans to take up mountain biking.
