Jaakkoo-Taara has been classified in the highest platinum category for performance according to CVS’s supplier evaluation criteria. The platinum rating awarded to us is a testament to the high quality of our products.
Our print quality meets rigorous standards
CVS’s recognition is not just a compliment. It means that we have achieved an exceptional level of print quality. CVS has extremely precise requirements for printing their packaging, and they evaluate their suppliers’ performance with the expertise of Graphic Measures International (GMI). To achieve the platinum level, we had to meet their stringent quality requirements for at least three years and maintain an approval rate of over 95% across 12 different criteria.
Before a printing company can begin printing packaging for CVS, it must pass a certification process demonstrating compliance with the requirements of ISO 12647-2:2004 for four-color printing. After passing the first phase of approval, work samples are evaluated by GMI, where they are selected for use by CVS one at a time. The packaging is used for a year, after which approval must be sought again. The certification is renewed every two years.

We use Inline inspection systems in our printing presses to monitor print quality in real-time. This means that any potential errors are immediately detected and corrected. Spectrophotometers and densitometers measure color strips, ensuring accurate color reproduction in every product.
Inspection and quality assurance are carried out at Jaakkoo-Taara at every stage of the printing process. Additionally, we create batch documentation for each batch.
