Jaakkoo-Taara recognized for occupational safety at the Nollis seminar

Representatives of Jaakkoo-Taara’s occupational safety organization participated in the Nollis Seminar held in Oulu, where this year’s theme was Safety is Culture.

Being part of the Nollis Forum has provided significant benefits for Jaakkoo-Taara’s occupational safety operations. The annual Nollis Seminars are among the most anticipated events of the year, generating many practical ideas ranging from organizing initial fire-extinguishing drills to exploring the possibilities of virtual reality glasses, as well as the comprehensive occupational safety training arranged last year for the entire occupational safety organization and workplace instructors.

– The Nollis Seminars always provide new ideas to take back with us. The best part is that ideas emerge both from the lectures and from networking discussions. We have also been able to put many of them into practice at Jaakkoo-Taara, says occupational safety manager Seppo Salminen.

Although we have not completely avoided workplace accidents, we have taken a major step forward in investigating their causes and developing preventive measures.

This year at the Nollis seminar, Jaakkoo-Taara was awarded III Towards the World’s Best honorary certificate.

The award was received in Oulu by Seppo Salminen, white-collar employees’ occupational safety representative Marjaana Ginström, and deputy occupational safety representatives for employees Janita Virtanen and Jesse Salminen.
