Production in Jaakkoo-Taara’s carton department has recently been developed with a focus on efficiency and flexibility. The new gluing and packing line is part of ongoing efforts to improve workflow, ergonomics and versatility in carton packaging production.
Smoother production with a modern setup
Production Supervisor Jari Tainio explains that the new BOBST Expertfold 110 A2 gluing line works in combination with the automatic Cartonpack 4 packing machine. Together, they speed up packing into corrugated boxes while significantly reducing manual work.
The new setup creates a more controlled and consistent packing process. This improves workflow and reduces variability across different production batches.
Improved efficiency and ergonomics
Tainio highlights that a key benefit is the increase in production capacity. Shorter setup times reduce downtime and allow for smoother throughput in production.
The line can produce up to 100,000 cartons per hour at full capacity. The automated packing solution also reduces physical strain and enhances ergonomics, supporting sustainable and safe working conditions.
