Jaakkoo-Taara receives an honourable mention in the Best Print of the Year competition

Jaakkoo-Taara’s 90th anniversary packaging received an honourable mention in the Print & Media magazine’s Best Print of the Year 2025 competition. Participating in the competition offered an opportunity to show how we are able to combine uncompromising quality and bold design with modern execution. The honourable mention is a recognition both of this individual project for us and our partners, and of Jaakkoo-Taara’s continuous investment in high-quality packaging design.

Proof of expertise and reinforcement for our work

Receiving an honourable mention in the Best Print of the Year competition was a moment of great joy and pride for us. It shows that uncompromising workmanship, creative design and careful execution are also noticed among industry professionals. At the same time, the award reinforces what we have already heard from our customers: our products and packaging solutions are appreciated and we are on the right track. We are satisfied with how we are able to create high-quality and impressive packaging that is not only visually striking but also produced responsibly and with consideration for the environment.

A unique creation through the power of collaboration

The anniversary packaging was designed in close cooperation with Packdesign ID, PREMerko and Auraprint. The end result is a unique six-panel case that combines a minimalist exterior and striking details. When the top panel is opened, the inner surfaces reveal the company story folded in the form of an old waybill and the anniversary “90” symbol, which is also repeated on the inside of the case. Seamless cooperation ensured that the vision was realised without compromise from start to finish, both for the cardboard case and the wine bottle label.

The 90th anniversary packaging combines design and storytelling in a way that captures the eye. With the help of special techniques such as foil stamping and laminations, the packaging was made into an elegant and modern, and at the same time a whole that respects the company’s history and dignity. The project also highlighted precision in details, as every element supports the 90-year story and makes an impact.
