Data bank WebCenter saves time and simplifies draft transfer

WebCenter is a step towards more efficient and user-friendly draft management. The new system saves up to 25% of the time spent on packaging processes, and brings more clarity to both customers and Jaakkoo-Taara’s everyday.

WebCenter to be launched for all customers in spring 2025

WebCenter is a web-based data bank and application platform that makes it easier to manage drafts and orders. It acts as a customer-specific tailored service that includes the entire draft management workflow, and where customers can view and approve drafts easily and securely.

WebCenter will be launched for all Jaakkoo-Taara customers during the spring. The transition from email-based draft management to a centralized system will significantly simplify processes. Draft can now be reviewed and approved directly in WebCenter, which reduces email traffic and ensures that files are always easily accessible.

How does WebCenter work?

WebCenter is designed to be as user-friendly as possible. The customer receives a notification of a new draft and can log in to view it. The service’s user interface reminds the user of unapproved drafts, so that no work remains undone or gets lost in the flood of emails. If necessary, the draft can also be sent for approval to, for example, the customer’s own end customer.

WebCenter offers many advantages in addition to saving time. By using a data bank, the company’s information security improves significantly, as all information is stored securely in one place. All approvals and modifications are logged in the service, which increases transparency and ensures that the audit trail requirement is met. It is also possible to limit access rights, allowing the company to decide who can see and approve which drafts.

The system is based on software from global software supplier Esko, which is tailored to the needs of Jaakkoo-Taara’s customers. Our expert development engineer, Mika Mattila, has been involved in the development of the software, ensuring the functionality of the service and smooth implementation.

Convenient additional features with a license fee

It is also possible to choose a paid, enhanced version of WebCenter, which offers a broader view and more functions, as well as training and support for using the service. The full version also includes the ability to chat directly with Jaakkoo-Taara’s repro team, make editing suggestions and delegate approval tasks within the team. This improves communication and streamlines the approval of drafts even during holidays and urgent situations.

Our customers who use the full version can also use WebCenter with their own customers. The draft can then be sent as a link for approval even to people who do not use WebCenter themselves. In these cases, either the user or their customer can be selected as the final approver.

WebCenter is much more than just a file management system.
